The World Beat has won many awards in its 13 year history including the Ovation Award for the Best Festival and the 2009 Best Performing Arts Festival from the Oregon Festivals and Events Association. At the Beat you can dine, shop and watch breathtaking cultural performances in each of the five World Villages, the Cultural Center, Middle Eastern Center, Showcase Stage and the Amphitheater. Cheer on the exciting World Beat Dragon Boat races! There are more than 125 cultural performances, demonstrations and workshops happening at Oregon’s Premier International Event! Please join us for the 2010 Children's Parade 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, staging is in the Rotary Pavilion at Riverfront Park. Sporting teams, cultural groups, 4-H groups, and individuals welcome! Where your cultural dress or club uniform. Or join in the fun during the Parade of Nations 4 p.m. on June 27, staging is at 3:45 p.m. at the north end of Riverfront Park behind the World Showcase Tent. Come represent your nation by wearing national dress and carrying your flag.
